Upcycle Labs has partnered with Footasylum to transform their unwanted plastic hangers into shop fittings for their stores.
Footasylum has switched from using plastic hangers throughout their 60+ stores to a more sustainable alternative. Throughout this transition, they were left with thousands of unwanted plastic hangers which they did not want to send to landfill. So, they approached Upcycle Labs.

Alongside Footasylum’s store design team, we were able to turn these plastic hangers into shelf inserts displaying their granulated hanger waste using our Core.Tex solution.

This partnership has saved tonnes of plastic waste from landfill and allowed Footasylum to re-invest their waste back into the business.

Once Footasylum are finished with these shop fittings, they can bring them back to Upcycle Labs to be made into something else, making it a truly circular solution.
The shelf inserts are already being used at many Footasylum locations across the UK, including their Oxford Street store in London.
